I tried to access keychain memory device in a USB port, as I have done
many times before, but the device was unrecognized; it does not appear in
the Disk Information column in the Konqueror /sys page, where it has
always been listed in the past.
I opened the /etc/fstab file to inspect it, but was informed that there is
already a fsab.swp file, and I must use the vim ":recover" command. I
used the RECOVER option of vim, and was told that recovery was
successful , and that I must now delete fstab.swp.
The recovery operation added he line: "/dev/sr0 /media>". I assume I
must now extend that line with "dos rw,user 0 0". Is that correct?
Unfortunately,
