After reading through some of the threads, I decided to try something different. Instead of rebooting from the DVD and trying an Update, I went straight into updating repositories, updated the system, verified boot loader configuration, then rebooted system. OMG, GRUB loaded correctly! Small Christmas Miracle!! Like many, this installation of 11.1 was more than disappointingly.
What did you do "instead of rebooting from the DVD"? Wasn't your system not able to boot at all? Didn't you get the "No operating system found" message..? Did you do it with a Live-CD? I don't have a Live-CD handy, and downloading and burning one needs a working computer which boots. Thus, my only option was to do an Update from the DVD. /JK -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
