But can I set up an UEFI system with a mdadm driven root device as RAID1? Not that dramatic with TW as standalone machine nevertheless I wondered.

I have one PC using UEFI plus RAID. OSes are on the M.2 NVME. Linux RAID data is on a pair of rotating rusts.
