I'm a Linux newbie and have some questions.
(1) Coming from a Windows environment, I have *A LOT* of true type fonts that I'd like to have available for Linux. I copied them into
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype
Try k->Preferences->System->Font Installer if you're using KDE
and *SOME* of them show up when I try to configure KDE. Why can't I see all of them. As Murphy would obviously decree, the ones I'd most like to use aren't available.
(2) I started looking at KDeveloper, but I'd go blind - even on a 19 inch screen - if I tried to work with those font sizes. I need a magnifying glass to see what's on the screen and it's almost indecipherable. Ideally, I'd switch it to my Courier truetype font and make it larger. Can anyone suggest how to do this - or at least make the font it *IS* using larger?
Under Options->Editor Defaults -- JDL
