Hello:
I want to install gimp-2.4.0-3.7 package from the latest GNOME stable packages repository using smart. When I check the packages for install smart marks for deletion the following packgages: kdegraphics3-3.5.9-21.16 kdegraphics3-fax-3.5.9-21.16 koffice-illustration-1.6.3-74.1 lyx-1.5.4-2.1 mftrace-1.2.14-30 texlive-2007-69.2 texlive-bin-2007-68 texlive-bin-latex-2007-68 texlive-latex-2007-69.2
Definitely I do not want to delete these packages. Why is this and what should I do?
Thanks, IG
Hi Istvan, I can remember having a similar problem a while ago. I think the problem, in your case is caused by using the build service. If you add the factory repository it may upgrade the necessary packages but I never had much success with smart anyway. If I remember correctly, changing poppler to libpoppler or the other way around solved yasts and zyppers urge to remove kdegraphics3. I have kdegraphics3 3.5.9-22 existing happily with gimp 2.4.5-17 both from factory.
