If I install another copy of SuSE on a spare partition (hda10) of a PC with SuSE on it (hda6) already, how do I add SuSE to lilo.conf so that I can boot it from the bootscreen? I've already tried setting the root to /dev/hda6, but that seems to founder when it can't find the relevant initrd.
This is what I have so I can boot 8.1 or 7.2 (very stable ) image = /boot/vmlinuz label = linux root = /dev/hda2 vga = normal initrd = /boot/initrd append = "hdc=ide-scsi" image = /boot/vmlinuz.shipped label = failsafe root = /dev/hda2 vga = normal initrd = /boot/initrd.shipped append = "ide=nodma apm=off acpi=off hdc=ide-scsi" optional image = /boot/vmlinuz-suse72 label = SuSE72 root = /dev/hdb3 vga = normal initrd = /boot/initrd.suse72 append = "hdc=ide-scsi" -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
