Hello there.
I'll take a guess at the cause of your problem.
You have (perhaps indirectly) modified /etc/fstab and taken out the noauto
option, so the init scripts are trying ot mount the cdrom at boot time.
Make sure you have the noauto option in /etc/fstab in the /cdrom section so
it looks like
/cdrom iso9660 ... ... ... defaults,noauto etc
