I have tried to upgrade Klamav using the wizard to download and recompile it automatically, but it seems that I don't have installed the libraries to do so. Initially when installed openSUSE I didn't install any development tool, but it seems is necessary now, in yast I have surfed in the patterns and have selected gcc++ libraries but it seems is not enough... what libraries i must install in order to recompiling....
Open up yast2 packet-manager and choose patterns/scheme in the filter pull-down. I didn't memorize the exact English labels though, but I'm pretty sure you'll figure it out m8. Then choose the development patters you are looking for and install the packeges. I usually also install all devel packages. It might be overkill but I do so anyway. You can do it afterwards and of course reapply such installing procedure from time to time. Again, go for the the packet-manager in yast2. Then choose extras and hit 'install all corresponding devel packages' or something like that. But be careful! Although I didn't apply to the debug packages my opensuse takes almost 20GB of disk space.
