I am running SuSE 9.0 Kernel 2.4.21-166 Mozilla Firebird 0.6.1+
Problem 1. When I went to http://www.apple.com/hardware/video/virginiatech/virginiatech_480.html to see Virgina Tech's Supercomputer, I did not have the correct plug-in. When I looked for it at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/index.html there were no options for Linux Users.
Problem 2. On yahoo games I cannot play pool. When I tried to play pool I was told that I needed the appropriate java plugin. The site redirected me to http://wp.netscape.com/plugins/jvm.html to download Java 2 Plugin version 1.3 but every attempt is a failure.
Please help with these issues. Thanks in advance. -=Thinker
I have yet to figure out why one would choose Firebird over Mozilla v 1.4, 1.5, or 1.6 Mozilla has done an excellent job of creating an integrated app that covers most needs. As I understand (misunderstand?) Firebird it is a partial shell to layer on top of other apps. It is nice but far less complete than the most recent versions of Mozilla. Try the complete Mozilla package and see if it does not solve your problems. IMHO, YMMV, HTH ... dmc
