Hi all:
I'm tryin to use Linux instead of Borland/Windows to develop C
applications for my University.
The first problem that I found is the lack of conio.h in Linux so I
don't have getch().
On what library is getch() or similar?
As mr. Feldman replied, is MS specific. However, several people
have made implementations of for gcc and other non-MS-environment
compilers.
I just tried to search for 'gcc conio' through Google. Look here:

On the other hand, curses and ncurses does what was meant to do -
and then some. Maybe you should try looking into these.
