yes, I have been told it's the only way to be sure the computer is switched off it's important when you have to install openSUSE on a computer: openSUSE (yast) can't shrink the ntfs file system when the computer is not really shut down. it's also why I like better shrink the file system in wondows. but the hover all conclusion I get reading this thread is that hibernation is evil.
