Mine is different from yours.
On booting with the DVD, the options are:
Boot from Hard Disk Live CD KDE Live CD Gnome Installation Installation ACPI disabled Installation Local APCI disabled Installation Safe Settings
I have just installed 10.1 on a spare hard drive from the DVD. It's running well, but not tried any upgrades yet.

Is that the difference between the "Live DVD" and the "Eval DVD"?
(As an acatual question; I'm in a server-farm environment, so do all my installs via PXE and nfs)
Sorry, Ian, I don't know what the difference is. The Novell/SUSE web site does say that the eval disk can be installed, but doesn't mention if it's also a live CD.
