Check the latter half of the post :-) In a nutshell, the OP has a mp3 player/SD card reader. From what I have read it is an mp3 player that solely uses SD cards for its storage medium. If the OP plugs the player into the USB port with an SD card inserted then he gets a load of errors (see his listing) and the device is unusable (he cannot browse or add content to the SD card). However, if the OP plugs the mp3 player in first then after it has initialised he inserts an SD card then everything is hunky dory and the sun shines :-) In other words, the same SD card is seen and is accessible etc. I at first thought dodgy SD card (I've got one myself) until I read about the last bit. He has done a Google search and it would appear to be a kernel problem (OP's hypothesis, not mine) so he is asking if anybody else has any other ideas to either back this up or suggest an alternative. I think :-) -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== Xmas may be over but, PLEASE DON'T drink and drive you'll make it to the next one that way.
