KDE 2.0.1 won't accept .jpg files as Wallpaper, but it does accept .png files for this purpose. Can anyone point me to a utilty thtat will do this conversion, or possibly to a library file that is needed by KDE 2?
Or you could use djpeg < file.jpg | pnmtopng > file.png for a once-off conversion. If you do it often (i.e. more than 1.5 times), then create a shell alias, function or script containing the commands as a core. See the respective manual pages for conversion options. -- /"\ Bernd Felsche - Innovative Reckoning, Perth, Western Australia \ / ASCII ribbon campaign | I'm a .signature virus! | X against HTML mail | Copy me into your ~/.signature| / \ and postings | to help me spread! |
