I just had a submit request to multimedia:apps coriander which had a broken link to "DISCONTINUED:openSUSE:11.1 coriander", the submitters package was also linked to "DISCONTINUED:openSUSE:11.1 coriander". I deleted mmaps coriander and used osc copypac from the submitters home project to recreate mmapps coriander and because it was there before, recreated the mmapps link.
Can somebody enlighten me as to why coriander is linked to DISCONTINUED:openSUSE:11.1?
IIRC, coriander package was on 11.1 distro but removed after that.
Takashi
It seems like a useful package and still maintained upstream and somebody's taken the time to update it. I'll delete the link the link to DISCONTINUED, it caused broken spec files.
Has coriander really been updated to the new IEEE1394 interface? When openSUSE dropped the older dc_control library, I would have guessed that coriander was no longer going to work. Perhaps the coriander team have now updated the application.
I have to do the same for our own application. It is the only thing that keeps our primary app off 11.4. But we know we need to change the code.

It's sitting in multimedia:apps and somebody cares enough to update it. It uses libdc1394-22 and libraw1394-11. You are in a position to test it and maybe get some proper resolution to the bug about libdc1394-control? http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/apps/openSUSE_11.4 If it's ok it should possibly move to GNOME:Factory.
Regards Dave P The update is from 2010-05-27 so it must use the newer IEEE1394 library versions properly.
