. This problem with Konq is a real PITA.
And from the su konsole # konqueror and I get: Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified
konqueror: cannot connect to X server :0
In user konsole $ kdesu konqueror yields nothing.
Have you tried using the "sux" command to switch user in X mode, before executing the applications?
I tried sux in place of kdesu, and it fails whether in user or root console. But the inconvenience is I can't right-click & edit a file in Konq. In Konq I cannot right-click|OpenWith|Advanced Editor a file: "KDEInit could not launch 'kwrite'". Does anyone else see this? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8zzGhnQ18+PFcZJsRAoSXAJ9Ke7u2+hYpber29ai6NbkebigmcgCfawy4 YEaU+tHqutFwGAbH1UCCY+0= =yvhK -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
