No, not so. I responded to the address given to the poster in the "From" header of his mail, which I did not copy here to avoid his address being known and spammed (as I did not find any email from "Bob Cameron" on the list on last three months). The adress is of the form "name at optusnet.com.au" (mutandis mutandi, of course).
It should be rejected by any Decent ISP System.

Carlos, check your sent mail header please. As knowing Bob, He doesn't write privately for nothing.
You did not read the MTA log entry correctly. His ISP or his mail server is using a Real Time Black List, and the dynamic IP I was using at the time was listed as "dynamic". Thus, I can't answer him privately, because the mail server serving his email doesn't like me and rejects me. So, he can "whitelist" me, remove the block, try another server, or write on list. I, on the other hand, can do nothing. I answered, but my answer was rejected, and I got somewhat pissed. And I'm sorry about being unable to correspond.
