Hi: I have just bought a NetBlaster II Access Point (802.11b) and two cards: One PCI and one PCMCIA. The PCMCIA card works fine in my notebook, but the PCI card does not work with my desktop PC. My desktop is a P4 1.4 Mhz and 768 Mb RAM. Both are running SuSE 8.2 Professional. After installing the PCI card and powering the desktop, I received a message that the card had been detected. It configures it as a National Datacomm Network Controller, using the prism2_plx driver. I assigned a static address to the card, managed mode, and entered the mac address of the Access Point, just as I did in the notebook, but it will not connect. Running rcnetwork restart fails to initialize the card. I have followed the suggestions given in www.linux-wlan.com but I still can not get it to work. I also tried the prism2_pci driver, but I get lots of errors when I do a modprobe prism2_pci saying that device has not been found. Maybe I should pass some parameters to the driver? Where could I find more info? Thank you. -- Alfredo J. Cole http://www.acyc.com http://www.clshonduras.com linux@acyc.com
