Hi,
Over the years I've used Linux I've always had problems finding a good email client. I usually end up using mozilla messenger, but it is big and slow, and I don't like the fact that when mozilla goes down so does the email client. I really like kmail, but it doesn't work good under anything but KDE.
The one requirement I've always had was IMAP support, and since most clients don't support it (or very well anyway), I'm stuck to a small list of clients. Due to this I tried fiddling with fetchmail a little, and although it's promising (since I can use any mbox client) I don't like seeing the same email over and over again (as in if I delete an email at home, I still see it at work). I'm interested in hearing what other SuSE users are doing for email.
PS: PGP (GPG) support is a big plus.
Thanks for your input.
I've been using Netscape, but also have used xfmail and sylpheed. xfmail was nice, but it is no longer being developed, it's changing to "archimedes". xfmail supports encryption. Sylpheed looks very promising. It is VERY FAST, handles news as well as mail, and will display photos, and it is actively being improved. Sylpheed supports imap, but dosn't have built-in encryption yet.
