I just edited the file /etc/X11/XF86Config. I know that there's a message warning not to do so, but it's working today. Some alterations were done for refresh rates and ...voilá! Also I turned my shared video memory (BIOS) to 4MB again (instead 8MB) as described in another thread: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2003-Jul/1658.html thanks everybody! a. Carlos E. That's what I'm doing: ALT+F2 (because I can't login or at least I can't see the login manager: screen gets blicking) login: adagilson/password:**** $sax2 (from now on everything gets blicking again)
No. First, do a "init 3" to kill the graphical server. Then, you can try "sax2 --rebuild" to force it to start afresh. If the option is wrong, do a "sax2 --help" to find out.
