IMHO:
If the e-mail settings for the list are to reply to the sender, there should be no complaint if someone does just hit the reply. It is, after all, the way the list is engineered, so quitcherbitchin. There's a key marked "Delete" on every keyboard in existence. Take a good look and learn where it is. I use mine a LOT.
There are some people in this world that could use a little "politeness" training. They snap and snarl like junk yard dogs at the least little provocation.
Opinions are like A___holes. Everyone has one. Oft times they stink.
granted, and you gave yours as indicated by your opening, "IMHO".

Maybe a little notice, and a link to the extension, could be included in the wiki page. I don't recall if the was a "welcome message" when I signed on but they are de regur for most lists. Have it in the e-mail also. AND, last but not least, maybe a notice and link in the footer of the messages also. I know, most people never look at those places but...........................
Times change and apparently the faq has not.... The WELCOME message which was delivered to successful subscribers to the "suse-linux-e" list contained: Q7. Why do my replies go to the original poster and not the list? A7. There is a more complete answer in FAQ, but the short answer is that it's better this way. Trust us on this one, please. The present WELCOME message does not contain this tidbit and should (another opinion here :^) ) Have no fear, you *will* be reminded the proper function of the list should you not understand and post errantly. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 OpenSUSE Linux http://en.opensuse.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
