So, I am not the only one who didn't receive notification, by both smart and zyppo, of the upgrade for FF until today. Most interesting.
I just checked my version......have *.12. 'Must have come in and I didn't realize it. My bad. :(

But my observation still stands- both smart and zyppo informed me this morning that there was a new copy of FF.
No doubt that you did. I switched to using just Yast for updates with 10.3. When the new FF came in....I can't tell you. 'Must have been half asleep when I I did the update.........I don't allow auto updates.

I was talking within the past hour to a friend who runs Win XP (Pro) and mentioned that FF was ugraded to *.12 to fix a security hole. He immediately 'fired up' his copy of FF and found that- FF was at v*.12. That is, FF upgraded itself, just like my wife's copy did. As far as I am concerned, there is no need to totally rely on opensuse to keep FF uptodate for you. (BTW, v3 rc1, or something, is now available which has more bells-and-whistles in it but because it cannot handle all the addons I am using I scrapped it and went back to *.12.)
