It has a... tiny "joystick" in a recess under the bottom edge. It can be pressed, which activates the menu, and moved to the sides as a cursor key. I found it by blind touching everywhere this morning. The papers don't mention it.
The joystick is in the manual - page 10, "User Settings".
Ah, must be the online extended manual. Not in the papers I got. Or being a refurb, that paper was missing.
I also have some system combinations where monitor blanking/power-saving just does not work - I believe it is most often a driver issue, but I have never really had sufficient time/help to look into it.
Fortunately, it is no longer a really important issue, but it still would be nice to have.
Indeed. I suspect card-driver issues, because the previous monitor, a very old old one (flat, not CRT, 4/3 form factor, low res) had trouble as well. Being old, I thought it was just that, changed protocols. But this one is new, so it may be that the nouveau toolset doesn't fully handle this card. And proprietary driver is hell in this machine (not supported any longer, old card), it was one of the reasons I bought another machine with AMD (this is my previous desktop machine). -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
