Hi List I have created a bug requesting adding the google-talkplugin to openSUSE Non free, please review and add your support :)
I suppose it is the responsibility of Google itself to build and distribute that RPM. I'm not sure oS can do that - what license does it have?
True, but if the source comes out (which I hope does) we will be good to go.
AFAIK, proprietary, there is no info in the files they produce, the cron job (apt one is for debian) says bsd

Was there not ,once upon a time, a way to install ".deb" files on Suse? I seem to remember that from the dark ages. The 64 bit version is supposed to be just a .deb file to install as if it were a rpm file. But of course it doesn't. Boxee, and some other's are doing this sort of thing, that is, going Debian rather than rpm.
I seem to remember a way to install debs as well. In fact I couldn't imagine what plugin this thread was complaining about because the Google Voice plugins were working in both Firefox and Chrome on my Ubuntu machine. It wasn't till I turned my chair to the OpenSuse machine that I saw it was not working. Wasn't there a dep to rpm utility somewhere? There is not much in that .deb. -- _____________________________________ At one time I had a Real Sig.
