Nobody is trampling over users lives, or forcing anyone to do anything, it is free software, those who dont like the current state of things or the direction it is going are invited to: - Make rational arguments and workable suggestions in the proper channels or venues (i.e bugzilla)
Made rational arguments and workable suggestions and filed them in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=804070
Since that is not a proper bug report (it is more like a rant really) it does not have a proper scope and it is outside the supported scenarios it is an INVALID report.
--- you said to make rational arguments and workable suggestions and specifically mentioned bugzilla by name, and then you immediately turn around and change it to close/invalid?? Are you a Sadist? As for proper scope? What is that suppose to mean? It's filed about a development problem in suse 12.1. And I am debating that it is outside the supported scenarios -- as that's in large part, what is at stake. I am saying that users have generally had the expectation and it has been considered supported that they can update the applications on their system to later/newer versions. You are saying such expectations of a user having such rights on their system are "unsupported"... I'm saying that's not only ridiculous, but INSANE. Other people on the factory list have said that rebuilding newer versions of the sources for a 12.1 target is full supported in OBS. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
