Out of boredom I actually went and wrote this :) Nothing fancy, much can be improved, perhaps it's not even needed but it was fun to try, fam is a really powerful tool. Comments are welcome ftp://rydsbo.net/pub/dirmon.c use -lfam to compile, needs fam-devel, start the fam daemon (rcfam start) before running the program
