Is anyone using a USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) PCI card with openSUSE?
Not with openSUSE, but with Debian. We used to have the StarTech Dual ones (Part# PEXUSB312A, PCIe) to connect our PtGrey Grasshopper cameras. Was a somewhat older Version of Debian, so I'd expect them to work nicely with oS, too. Meanwhile we replaced the mainboards, so I only have them lying in the shelf. If you need to be sure I can put them in one of my oS machines and have a try (either 42.3 or TW)
We are expecting a Flir LadyBug5 to arrive any day. I will try to see if I can have it work on openSUSE. Given my problems with a Chameleon, I'm not 100% optimistic. But it is a different library. Failing that it will be either Ubuntu or, gasp, Windows,. But I want to start with openSUSE. With a 3.1 Gen 2 friendly kernel and associated tools. -- Roger Oberholtzer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
