I have been attempting to install 11.1 to a 350G partition on a sata drive with 3G of ram and a dual core AMD processor. I had been using 10.3 on an older pata drive. 10.3 ran great even with all of the updates and modifications that I did to it. So far I am not impressed with 11.1. I am getting all of the issues other people are getting - k3b cannot see the optical drive unless root, gramps cannot find _bsddb module which should be in the python interpreter, inserted media is not detected, kscd crashes, and a bunch of smaller issues I have not even tried to address yet. I have never had this many issues with a release and I started with 5.2. Are they going to release updates for this or should I go back to 10.3 and wait for 11.2?
No idea about the updates, but I would recommend 11.0 over 10.3. The package system is much faster to say the least. It has it's quirks, but it's better than 10.3 IMHO. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
