I've not been too bothered by this for a while now... but I'd like to "fix" it. I'm running the latest KDE4.4 Beta builds, and when I installed them, the openSUSE tweaks to the KMenu disappeared... now I've got a K for the menu button instead of Geeko, and.more noticeable, the convenient Install Software and YaST entries are missing from the Computer submenu - basically the default KDE layout.
Is there a package associated with these openSUSE tweaks? Or a config setting that is changed when you install the 4.4 Betas?
You should have kdebase4-openSUSE package and the *-branding-* packages should be *-openSUSE and not *-upstream.
I do have kdebase4-openSUSE installed, and I think the correct branding packages too...
kdebase4-openSUSE-11.2-106.75.x86_64
gimp-branding-openSUSE-11.2-2.1.noarch branding-openSUSE-11.2-2.2.noarch kdebase4-runtime-branding-openSUSE-11.2-106.75.x86_64 kdelibs4-branding-openSUSE-11.2-106.75.x86_64 MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE-3.5-8.9.1.x86_64 kdm-branding-openSUSE-11.2-106.75.x86_64 glib2-branding-openSUSE-2.16-50.2.noarch yast2-registration-branding-openSUSE-2.18.0-2.4.noarch gfxboot-branding-openSUSE-4.1.39-1.1.1.x86_64 pidgin-branding-openSUSE-11.1-9.1.noarch kdebase4-workspace-branding-openSUSE-11.2-106.75.x86_64 splashy-branding-openSUSE-0.3.13-3.4.2.x86_64 kio_sysinfo-branding-openSUSE-11.2-106.75.x86_64 yast2-branding-openSUSE-2.18.0-2.1.noarch bootsplash-branding-openSUSE-3.1-50.2.noarch OpenOffice_org-branding-openSUSE-3.0-26.2.noarch gtk2-branding-openSUSE-11.2-3.5.noarch
No upstream packages are installed. Is there a missing branding package? I've looked through the available branding packages that are not installed, and I don't see any openSUSE specific ones that are "missing" for KDE.
Was this ever resolved?? Have just updated to KDE4.4 and have the same problem ie openSuse specific icons disappeared, as well as yast shortcuts, etc, Thanks, John. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
