Probably not Tim, however to do it via fstab...
Example fstab entry ( you may want to add 'server' to hosts file ):
//server/share /mnt/mountpoint cifs ro,uid=username,gid=group,credentials=/etc/samba/smb.auth 0 0
Contents of /etc/samba/smb.auth ( protect appropriately ) :
username=username password=whatever
I dont think we can use it in /etc/fstab anymore. Use /etc/samba/smbfstab instead. From Suse 9.3, i dont use /etc/fstab cause it gives me errors whenever i start it. -- Arie Reynaldi Zanahar reymanx at gmail.com http://www.reynaldi.or.id
