I need to recompile my kernel and I want to start with the existing options. Where can I find the current kernel config (SuSE 8.0 Personal BTW)?
This has got to be a common question, but I've been unable to find the answer. Sorry to have to ask.
After you install the kernel source, you'll find the config in file in /usr/src/linux/.config. There is also a copy in /boot/vmlinuz.config. These two files are identical on my 8.0 pro box. Best Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ Got spam? Get spastic http://spastic.sourceforge.net
