Hi
During instalation of SuSE Linux 7.1 I choose standard kernel 2.4. for pentium. Next I configure Lilo and when I want to save configuration I've got error 'can't open /boot/initrd_24'. When I choose standard kernel 2.2. - lilo has no problems. But I want use kernel 2.4. !!!?? Is it a big in 7.1. or I did something wrong.
What is in your /etc/lilo.conf file and what is the contents of your /boot directory? Sometimes, you have to build initrd yourself (mk_initrd), and sometimes /etc/lilo.conf needs hand massaging. -Kastus
Psc. Replacing kernel 2.2. to 2.4. by Yast 1 has the same error ... I edited /etc/lilo.conf and hashed line # initrd = /boot/initrd but I amn not sure if it is legal action.
Thank for any help
