Dutifully following the documentation for CUPS, I'm told that lpinfo -v
will tell me what's available. Something's wrong; here's what I get:
linux1: # lpinfo -v
lpinfo: cups-get-devices failed: server-error-operation-not-supported
Google doesn't find anything for that error message.
I'm running a fairly new and fairly clean installation of SuSE Personal
9.0 with Ximian's XD2. I've got all the cups packages installed (all
1.19) and cupsd running.
I haven't been able to get into the web interface for cups yet. It
doesn't access my root id and password. But I'm trying to take it
step-by-step, starting with lpinfo.
Any help as to where to look next is greatly appreciated.
