This was posted to another list I frequent (the HP3000-L mailing list) and I
thought the web page referenced was great -- it is rather long, but
entertaining piece and covers just about every imaginable bit of "technology"
that has been produced for the last 100 years or more. Most of it may seem
"off topic" for a linux user group, but if you think that way, you're only
seeing the surface [2 dimensions] and not seeing "underneath" to how it COULD
apply to you as a linux enthusiast [3 dimensions -- made clear in the writeup
itself...]
