and restart the server. I purged it before I ever got my first Intel Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller. The only Intel gfx systems I have using xf86-video-intel are the real antiques, at least 8yrs old. Last official release of that driver was 3-4 years ago.
I have also tried that and rebooted the system. Also set Compositor to openGL 2. Problem remains.
Have you tried disabling compositing entirely? There's a checkbox in systemsettings, and to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ can be created 70-extensions.conf containing to disable globally for all users and DEs: Section "Extensions" Option "Composite" "Disable" EndSection Which connection type(s) is/are your display(s) using? -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.
