Go grab the codecs here at http://www2.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/codecs.html
I did this with beta1 and this did nothing good. may be in beta2.
in fact when I lauched amarok in beta 1 it asks for this file and donwload it, then nothing.
looking at the README file, I see it should be set in codecs directory, but I find none. I will study this more before creating these dirs thanks jdd
I didn't know you were looking for the WM(Audio) codecs (although, you would have thought this was indicated by WMA in the subject line. Sorry. :( ) However, I believe the same stuff applies - FWIW, I don't believe /usr/bin/codecs is exactly the right directory, but that was what I used for Kaffiene. I suppose you could use Kaffiene for WMAs. A matter of personal preference, really. -Chris PS - As I decided to look for the proper directory to stash the codecs, I've come to find that amarok runs on the xine engine. So, theoretically, if you've already got the xinelib1 package and the codec, and configure via Kaffiene, then amarok should be able to play WMAs just fine. (Right?) A quick and dirty Google search shows that some people have trouble importing the WMAs into their amarok collection, so heads up. (Accidently sent only to jdd - resent to the list for dissemination)
