Hi!
I do agree with Anders. Please take the original message for what it is, i.e. a kind reminder of some basic rules, and not bashing on someones head. Anders doesn't pick on anyone in particular. He just made a kind remark upon some things that makes it easier for everyone in general and for people like Anders, who is a great contributor in terms of questions answered, in particular. I recon that we all agree upon the great value of this list and while I strongly support the idea of having as few rules as possible, some rules for this list are needed.
Happy new year
Björn
Hi Bjoern, I agree, sticking to some 'rules' would make life easier for everybody. But I have been to a German list for only a single weekend, posting one single question, receiving only one on-topic answer, about five RTFM's and twenty 'Newbie-hatred' flame messages. And that's where 'Netiquette' has led to in Germany and maybe I am 'over-cautious' here. Do you want to know why they were flaming me? Well, I never use my family name, because it's far too complicated. Even if I explain it to someone, this person will definitely mistype it. And I'm kinda tired of this! Happy new Year too ...
