I have stock openSUSE 11.2 (64bit) on my Acer laptop 5542 (Athlon II). I am using the default KDE setup for desktop. Network setup is managed via NetworkManager. WiFi connectivity on AP is WPA2 Personal. I have configured the NetworkManger profile accordingly with the shared pass phrase. Upon laptop power up WiFi connection is established - no issues. The connection stays up for for 2-3 hours. However, if I the laptop goes into screen saver "lock mode" then I am unable to re-establish the WiFi connection. Clicking on the Netmanager applet, I request reconnection to the WiFi AP. I get the Netmanager dialog box [1] with the "configured" pass phrase already in the field. Clicking on OK says "Authenticating" but nothing happens and then I get the same dialog box [1] and this goes on ad infinitum. So far, system reboot is the only way to re-establish WiFi connection. Any suggestions to fix the problem welcome. TIA, -- Arun Khan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
