Go delete your existing monitor section paste this into your /etc/X11/xorg.conf Section "Monitor" Option "CalcAlgorithm" "XServerPool" DisplaySize 474 295 HorizSync 30-82 Identifier "Monitor[0]" ModelName "Acer AL2216W" Option "DPMS" VendorName "ACR" VertRefresh 56-76 UseModes "Modes[0]" EndSection Get the correct DisplaySize, HorizSyn, and VertRefresh from your monitor manual or go to the acer web site and download the pdf version. You could simple adjust the DisplaySize above and the remainder will be close enough to get you going since both run at 60Hz. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
