So far the only thing I have been able to get to run with Wine is "notepad". Notepad will only work if I have wine running in Desktop mode. I have tried M$ Project 2000, M$ Word XP, M$ Excel XP plus a couple of other apps but no success. I am using a fake windows installation as you can see from the config file below.
Is there something else needed besides Wine?
What will run in Wine?
The excellent newsreaders Agent and FreeAgent run "almost perfectly" with Wine. It dosn't display images, but the threading, posting, and text aspects are great. There are some glitches in cut'n'paste too, but nothing you can't deal with. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
