Xavier, have you set up the DNS on your subnet hosts? Check it by going into Yast2, Basic Network setup, Networkaddress setup, and look at host name and name server. Under Nameservers and domain search list enter at least one DNS IP in Name server 1 and the host name in Domain search 1. Mine has 207.69.168.185 and earthlink.net in the respecitve places. If you dont know your ISP's DNS, you can use Any DNS server such as the earthlink ones, but it will probably be faster to use one near you. I'm not real sure about that as I;m simply using logic here. Few will tell you that you gotta set up a DNS on EACH of your subnet hosts. Then if you have the proper gateway set in the Routing configuration page of Yast2, and that is the ip of your Gateway machine's local net nic (in your example that will be 192.168.0.1), you should be able to ping the net from all your hosts. Also be sure the IP Forwarding/masquerading is enabled on the Gateway machine. If you use Shorewall, the two interface example will set that for you. Luck, Richard
