Xfree 4.3.0 upgrade and fonts

Hi all, I know I have seen this in list emails previous but haven't been able to quickly find it again so please excuse the ask once again. I have a SuSE 8.1 running KDE 3.1.3 and have just update to XFree86 4.3.0. Basic upgrade no problem X runs etc. KDE logon screen has large fonts and does not seem to want to scale smaller and various kde apps eg kmail won't display message text unless some custom font is selected. SuSEconfig runs ok with no hangs during the font cache rebuilds. Any suggestions? -- Jim Hamilton Perth, Western Australia
