kernel 2.1.13 and pcmcia_cs 3.1.3 are all that's needed - download SuSE 6.3 pcmcia package & patch your kernel. On Thu, 16 Mar 2000, Robert Lyons wrote:
I have got the pcmcia package working, but I do not think suse 6.1 likes my card. I have a Xircom 32 bit Carbus 10/100 card and When linux boots up it tells me that my card is not supported. Is there any kind of fix for this? Do I have to run out and purchase suse 6.3 for this?
Help thanks robert

Is it possible to load the pcmcia modules for a specific ethernet card after you have done the install of the system..If yes what is the proper procedure for doing this? I have a working system on my laptop and I want to addan ethernet card to it all...
If you have the pcmcia package set up, the new card should be autodetected by cardmgr which should load the proper module. To configure the interface check out the PCMCIA-Howto. If you have any problems let us know :-)
