I tried to configure my Samba share printer using yast2 on Suse-10, yast2 is not accepting an '@' in my Windows Workgroup password when i physically go tinker /etc/cups/printers.conf , the printer works, here is the file <DefaultPrinter GL1_Laser> Info Xerox DocuPrint Location near VCs Cabin DeviceURI smb://ITLINFOSYS/digvijoy_chatterjee:dvch1981@@192.168.223.8/GL1_Laser State Idle Accepting Yes JobSheets none none QuotaPeriod 0 PageLimit 0 KLimit 0 </Printer> Also when i changed my password its working fine through yast2 , is this a known bug or is there a solution to it.
