For waht it's worth, KDE4.5.0 is very solid on all machines I've installed it on - from high end workstation to a lowly EEE netbook. I've had no issues at all (aside from a dbus bug that would break Dolphin, which is fixed already in the latest dbus). That extra effort put into it last week really shows.
