Listmates, This is peculiar. I have downloaded the Toshutils .src.rpm (toshutils-2.0.1-1255.src.rpm) to attempt to find a way to be able to change my laptop's screen brightness. Extracting the source package and applying the patches: toshutils-2.0.1.dif toshutils-2.0.1-make.dif toshutils.sys-io-h.patch tuxtime-conf-manpage.diff then attempting ./configure, results in the following error for my x86-64 laptop: 01:16 alchemy~/linux/apps/toshutils-2.0.1> ./configure loading cache ./config.cache checking host system type... Invalid configuration `x86_64-pc-linux-gnuoldld': machine `x86_64-pc' not recognized The peculiar part of this is that building the .rpm from the .src.rpm work utilizing "rpmbuild --rebuild toshutils-2.0.1-1255.src.rpm" What piece of the puzzle am I missing? -- David C.
