Now I am trying to copy and paste the modified paragraphs from acroread back into the original via oowriter.
For some reason the clipboard is ignoring my acroread cntr-c attempts. Same for right click copy.
Instead the clipboard is retaining data placed into it via oowriter.
Classic symptom (for me anyway, it's been like this for ages across multiple versions): After the first copy, subsequent attempts don't work.
Somehow over time I discovered that if you just hold down CTRL+C and let it auto-repeat for a while, it will "take."
Thanks, it seems to be working. I have noticed this before, but I never had to do this much cut & paste in KDE before. Seems like a major usability bug.
If someone knows a bugzilla number I'll add my me too.

No bug number, but I have run into this problem repeatedly as well. Good to know about the crtl+c hand shake. However, I now do most pdf->text copy from kpdf which seems to be much more friendly with its select box approach to text and graphics copy. Give it a try... -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
