Ken there is an answer for the required directories over on the Ubuntu list, but of more interest is that there is a backup\migration tool for Evolution floating around out there.
Well I neither belong to or need to belong to any Ubuntu lists and no tool was just floating around on either my desktop or laptop. WTF is the reason for keeping both separated in the first place? It sure as hell can't be security.
