Do you have a file in /etc called SuSE-release? That is where it is in 8.2. I would guess 9.0 is SUSE-release. HTH. Or is this only for YOU? I remember a post a few weeks ago about someone who had installed 8.2 fresh, but YOU thought it was 8.1.
