Where does YOU get its information?

When I run YOU on my 9.0 system, I see that it thinks I am on 8.2. Where does it get this information? Totally lost, dk

Do you have a file in /etc called SuSE-release? That is where it is in 8.2. I would guess 9.0 is SUSE-release. HTH. Or is this only for YOU? I remember a post a few weeks ago about someone who had installed 8.2 fresh, but YOU thought it was 8.1. He found a work around, try searching the archives. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM. Sorry, reread your subject. This is YOU. Try /var/lib/YaST2/install.inf. I don't have 9.0, but there is a line UpdateDir: /linux/suse/i386-8.2. I would expect yours to be 9.0 -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM.
